Recalls memories of Grandmother’s breakfast table with a touch of your generation added in.
Ingredients
- 3 C all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 1-1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1-1/2 C milk
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 4 Tbsp butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450*
- Add dry ingredients to bowl and mix well
- Cut in butter and cream cheese with a pastry cutter or fork until it resembles a coarse meal
- Stir in milk until well combined
- Turn out dough onto a floured surface
- Knead about 5 times until dough comes together
- Press dough into a rectangle about 3/4 inch thick
- Cut into 12 squares
- Melt butter and generously cover tops or biscuits
- Place biscuits almost touching onto a parchment baking sheet
- Bake about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown
- If baking in Ninja oven, decrease temp by 25-35 degrees and cut the cooking time to 9 minutes
