Nutty and chewy and scrumptious!
Date Loaf
Ingredients
- 3 C sugar
- 1 C milk
- 1 C dates
- 1 C pecans
- 1/2 stick butter
- Powdered sugar
Instructions
- Cook sugar and milk to a boil
- Add chopped dates
- Cook until "soft boil stage" when dropped in cold water
- Add nuts and butter
- Mix until ready to pour (best til thick)
- Pour out onto damp cloth and roll
- Chill for 2 hours
- Cut in slices and dust with powdered sugar
